The Cleverbot Plays at The Brick_March 23, 8 pm

So this is my next thing. But before I get into it, I just want to say that my last thing, Brass Tacks Theater Collective’s Script Tease at 61 Local was delightful. I never think that 10 minute plays are going to be that great, but they soooo can be, especially if they’re done on the cozy second floor of a cute Brooklyn bar and there are lots of excited people in the audience and the alcohol is flowing. I think my piece GOVERNMENT CHEESE was made better by the director and the actors so I wasn’t totally embarrassed. GOVERNMENT CHEESE was first so after sweating it out for my 10 minutes I was able to relax and enjoy the five other pieces. Which, by the way, were all quite good. Anyway –

The Cleverbot Plays

When: Saturday, March 23rd at 8 pm (This is the night my piece is in, but FYI there’s  another night Friday, March 22nd.)

Where: The Brick, 579 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11222

(Take L to Lorimer or G to Metropolitan)

Tickets: $15

Details: “The Cleverbot Plays is a series of six short plays transcribed from conversations between indie playwrights and Cleverbot, one of the most advanced artificial intelligences ever. Each playwright converses with Cleverbot to form a 10-minute script, which will then be assigned to a director and brought to the stage. Can great theater come from the marriage of playwrights and Al? The Brick aims to find out.”
