DUCKLINGS at JACK in 2017

I’m both delighted and frightened to admit that I’m going to attempt to produce another play. My play DUCKLINGS about a dancehall queen competition (but really about the American Dream, class, gender, and sexuality) has production dates at JACK, the lovely venue that hosted THE ANIMALS. We go up in 2017, the last week of May and we’ve got 9 performances. Boom. Eek. Wow. Quack? I guess I’ve got to start getting my team together and raising some money… speaking of which, if anyone would like to donate to Table Theater, my little company, by all means. All donations are going towards the production…

The Animals in a time of crazy

It feels small – trite even – to talk about a little play I produced in Brooklyn that is garnering modest success, in the wake of the most recent shootings in this country. So much fear and ignorance and hate. 😔 But I’m an artist, and my work is to make art. My work is to bring people together as forces work to rip us all apart. I take my work very seriously and everything I do is in service of making the world a better, more loving, place. Xoxo

The Animals opens at JACK, June 30!

“It’s easy being a teacher.”

Or is it? It’s a new year and the teachers at Peabody Elementary School struggle to do their jobs while balancing their personal lives . Amidst the insane world of public school, these teachers will rediscover what it really means to be a teacher – and a human.

Hello friends,

I’ve taken the plunge into self-producing and the water is fine…

I’m proud to share my play about teachers, The Animals, with you and hope that you can make it.
